THE BOAT

The "Get Reel" is a 36' Palmetto center console powered by twin 250HP Hondas. The open center console layout means you can follow a fish all the way around the boat instead of fighting it from one corner, and the twin engines get you to the bite fast and bring you home on time. We cap every trip at 6 guests, so nobody is fishing elbow to elbow. She is a proven 2001 hull that we fully restored in 2025, with updated electronics, outriggers, rod holders and current safety gear throughout.

Hey! I'm Captain Hector, and I love to fish.

​

Whether it's your first time charter fishing or hundredth, I want your day offshore to be one you're still talking about long after you're back on dry land. That's the whole goal.

​

My favorite fish to catch is swordfish. Just can't beat the fight. I also love to catch sailfish, mahi mahi, grouper and plenty of others. That's my favorite part about Fort Lauderdale...you can pretty much catch whatever you want. We have it all.

  • Great fishing with Captain Colton and Hector. Rough conditions but the two stayed focused on productive fishing. We caught a Mahi on the troll. Then switched to kite fishing with live bait and the action started. We hooked into a big fish and fought it for a long while. With Colton and Hector giving instructions and moving the boat, the 30lb Kingfish was landed. Colton offered us several different methods of fishing and worked with us to target what we wanted to catch. Colton and Hector both have excellent communication skills and Hector filleted our fish with attention to maximize the meat.

  • Capt Colton and Hector took my family of five out yesterday for a 3 hour kids tour. They did an awesome job getting my kids involved (ages 12,9,9) and knew a ton about the various species we caught (we caught about 8-10 different types). I would highly recommend them to anyone coming down to Florida looking to mix in some adventure to their vacation.

  • Came down with my son during what is considered a slower time of year in January and still caught a bunch of fish. Hector and Maria were great! Hector kept moving and working the wrecks, trolling, live bait etc. We ended up catching Mahi Mahi, Amberjack, snapper, squirrel and other species more than 20 in the boat at the end of the day. Hector sent us down to the restaurant at the end of the marina called South Shore I believe it was called. They blackened the snapper and Mahi for us, both were delicious. It was a great day! One to remember. Thank you Hector and the Get Reel crew!
